Rescue Dog Selection Process

We are deeply committed to finding the perfect canine candidates to transform into reliable service animals. This process is meticulous and time-consuming, requiring the collaboration of rescue groups, animal control, shelters, and other organizations

The journey starts with an extensive search to locate potential dogs. Our team works closely with shelters and rescue organizations, keeping an eye out for dogs that might possess the temperament and traits necessary to become a life-changing service animal.

Once we identify a potential candidate, time is of the essence. Our skilled evaluators travel immediately to the dog’s location to perform an initial assessment. This involves observing the dog’s temperament, behavior, and adaptability to determine if it meets our rigorous criteria

After the initial evaluation, the dog is taken off-property to experience different environments. This step is critical as it simulates real-world scenarios, testing the dog’s ability to remain mentally balanced and confident in various situations. These tests help us assess the dog’s potential to succeed as a service animal.

Not every dog can become a service animal. We seek dogs that are mentally stable, confident, and adaptable. Each candidate must also exhibit characteristics tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual they will serve. Whether providing physical assistance, emotional support, or another type of service, the dog must demonstrate qualities that align with our mission to empower disabled individuals.

We believe in the transformative power of rescue dogs. By dedicating time and effort to this rigorous selection process, we ensure these amazing animals are set up for success in their future roles. Together, we give these dogs a second chance at life while providing invaluable support to those in need.
